3 Long-Weekend Projects
These are some great projects for the upcoming long weekend; especially, if you're planning to sell in the Fall!
1. Clean Up Your Exterior
This can include
- Tidy the garden
- Stain patios & fences
- Paint front door
- Replace old rusted
- Door
- Hardware
- Mailbox
- New weatherstripping/caulking
- Repair steps
- Add fall planter baskets
- Pressure wash siding (Be Careful!)
- Clean exterior windows
2. Declutter Inside
- Get rid of anything you're no longer using and wouldn't move to a new house.
- Have a yard sale or Marketplace sale.
- Donate items and clothing (Neighbourhood; a Choices for Youth social enterprise; located at 38 Pearson Street)
- Go to the dump! Address piled up recycling. (IMPACT Construction, another Choices for Youth social enterprise, does dump runs.)
3. Clean & Freshen Up
Nothing sells a home better than an ultra-clean and fresh home.
Get to Deep Cleaning
(Or hire a great cleaner who is skilled at deep cleans. Like Maid to Sparkle)
Get Painting!
A fresh coat of popular neutral paint (particularly, white paint like Benjamin Moore Simply White) is a fantastic way to add maximum appeal to your prospective buyers.
