Adult Children - 3 Ways You May Find Yourself Helping Parent(s) in 2023
Whether you're in your 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s.... At a certain point in our adult lives, many of us become Sherpas for our parents or, sadly, can find ourselves in a position to deal with their passing.
Here are 3 ways adult children help their parents with real estate matters:
1. Finding a great REALTOR® to independently handle their sale for them so you can have confidence they're taken care of.
2. Managing their sale more intimately for them. In our world, that means we consider you the lead or co-manager of their file (partially or full).
3. Responsible for an estate sale or having power of attorney - either before or after they've passed away, had their partner who would typically manage this pass away, or lost the capacity to make the decisions themselves.
For some reason, I personally get a lot of fulfillment from these style of transactions. I guess because you get a sense of really helping people in a moment of need. So please, if this is you, and you want to learn more, reach out.
Remember, all conversations are FREE and NO obligation. Even if you're a couple years out or unsure your parents are ready to get advice from you, we're happy to chat.
