First Impression - 6 Ways to Wow Your Buyers
Did you know... A prospective buyer makes a decision on if they are going to buy your home in the first 11 seconds of seeing it?!
Yes - the rest of the time they walk around justifying their decision!
Here are 6 ways to set a great first impression:
1. Heat On - A toasty home is an inviting home!
2. Clean & Tidy - A clean home is not only welcoming, but indicates you care.
3. Fresh Air (No overpowering scents) - Don’t use candles or air fresheners to mask smells; many buyers and realtors have sensitivities. Instead, open a window before the showing, clean with harsh chemicals no less than 24 hours before, and a spritz of Windex before they come in.
4. Tidy & Decluttered - Make sure all areas including the front porch are tidy.
Make it as easy as possible for at least 3 people to get in the front door. You want buyers to feel that your home is spacious and open.
5. Lights On - Light it up like Christmas! It’s so inviting!
6. Tidy Curb Appeal - Shovel walk-ways, mow the grass, trim the hedges, paint the steps, paint the front door, replace that rusty mailbox. All says “Welcome! I care!” and buyers are picturing what their selfie on closing day will look like!
It seems obvious, but in the stress of prepping your home for sale these steps can be easily missed! This is where a great realtor will help you be prepared!
