Did you know that maintaining your home is the number one way to retain its value? Here’s our Home Maintenance Checklist for the Month of March.

  • Inspect the sump pump and ensure it is working properly.

  • Fill all sinks and tubs with water; check all drain lines and faucets for leaks; check ceilings under bathroom fixtures for any signs of leaks.

  • Inspect all sink and tub drains for debris; unclog if necessary.

  • Inspect sink, shower, and bath caulking for deterioration.

  • Clean all faucet aerators and showerheads to remove mineral deposits.

  • Check the base of toilets and supply lines for leaks; secure loose toilet bolts.

  • Seal tile grout.

  • Flush out hot water from the water heater to remove accumulated sediment and check for leaks.

  • Turn off your HRV during winter storms; turn it back on afterwards.

  • Clear your HRV and dryer vents of snow after storms.

Each month we'll share a custom list created by our team based on the unique seasonality of the Newfoundland climate.
