"How Many Repairs Does My House Need Before Selling?"

A loaded question and a common question.

The answer is: it depends what you want from the sale.

The issue with not addressing needed repairs before listing your property for sale is it directly conflicts with most sellers top 2 desires:
I want to make as much money as I can from the sale.
I want to sell the home efficiently.

By addressing needed repairs and maintenance up front, you maximize your return on investment and decrease your time on market by appealing to your prospective BUYERS top 2 desires:
I want a move-in-ready home.
I want a home without any major repairs on the horizon.

This isn’t to say you can’t list a home that needs repairs. It simply means you will need to come to terms with the possibility of lower list/sale price than if repaired, extended time on market, added disruption from multiple viewings, more challenging/aggressive negotiation from your buyer, buyers financing not being approved without repairs, and/or a stressful home inspection that may lead to the deal falling apart.
