Realtor = Sherpa
"You wouldn't hike Mount Everest without a Sherpa."
I was asked recently if I thought the role of the REALTOR® will diminish in value over the next 5-10 years and my honest answer was, "Yes, fewer people will see the value of a realtor as tech makes connecting consumer to consumer easier; however, I do not believe in any way that devalues the realtor."
My three reasons:
1. Buying a house is incredibly complex and buying without knowing what you're doing could literally be catastrophic.
2. Realtors will ALWAYS make you the most amount of money on your sale. How else do you know the true market value? How else would you know how to price your home? What to do and not do in a home inspection? And so on.
3. Like the above, you'd never hike Mount Everest without a Sherpa... Well, people do, and that's why there's dead bodies on the mountain. (I know this from my friend who recently summited the mountain).
Realtors = Sherpas. Trust the professionals.
