September & October - Is It a Good Time to Sell?
“Did I miss my chance to sell this year?”
“Is the fall a good or bad time to sell?”
These are super common questions at Darbaz HQ and we’re here to share some GREAT news with you would-be sellers.
The fall - specifically mid-September (week after Labour day) to the end of October - is an incredibly busy SALE time of year! In fact, historically we close more homes September-December than we do January-April.
Why?
Once everyone is back into a routine after the hot summer months of vacation, they get back to their goals of home buying with the AWESOME motivator of “move in before Christmas” (sorry for mentioning Christmas in August lol). Plus, the weather is still nice. There’s no snow, so it’s still a fantastic time to showcase your property.
Pro Tip:
It takes, on average, 45 days to close a home once an offer is accepted. Therefore, you really want to try to set your goal to have your house up in September/October. Then you can close before mid-December and you won't run the risk of inching into January (which becomes a reality in November).
