When Should I Get My House Ready For Sale?

In our last couple of tips we've talked about the 'best months' to sell your home. So, if you are someone that wants to take advantage of the largest concentration of buyers, which is in May & June, how soon should you contact a realtor and start preparing your home?

Unless you live on an HGTV set, you're likely going to need some time to prep your home for photos and showings.

We typically advise a minimum of 4 weeks, or 1 month, before you plan to list your home. This allows you as a busy professional, parent, animal parent, hobbyist, etc. to pack-up, de-clutter, stage, and deep clean clean the home without loosing your sanity. (And we're all for that here at the Darbaz Real Estate Group!).

Don't get us wrong, we can absolutely get your home ready for market in a couple of short days, this is just what our average client needs.

And because our consultations are free and no-obligation, it's never too early (and encouraged) to reach out earlier!
